10/14/03: srvx 1.2.0 released  (Zoot)
The first stable release in the srvx 1.2 branch, version 1.2.0, has been released. It fixes all known critical bugs in 1.2rc5 and contains major improvements over srvx 1.1. Networks running versions prior to 1.2.0 are encouraged to download srvx 1.2.0 from SourceForge and upgrade.

7/18/03: srvx 1.2rc5 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.2rc5 has been released. It fixes a number of bugs in 1.2rc4, but does not add new features. Networks running 1.2rc4 should download srvx 1.2rc5 from SourceForge and upgrade at their earliest convenience.

7/7/03: srvx 1.2rc4 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.2rc4 has been released. Many bugs have been fixed since 1.2rc3, and some significant features were added. You can download srvx 1.2rc4 from SourceForge.

1/05/03: srvx 1.2rc3 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.2rc3 (1.2, release candidate 3) has been released. Many bugs have been fixed since 1.2rc2, and a few minor features were added. You can download srvx 1.2rc3 from SourceForge.

11/22/02: srvx 1.2rc2 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.2rc2 (1.2, release candidate 2) has been released. It includes a number of bug fixes relative to 1.2rc1 and is available for download from SourceForge.

11/11/02: srvx 1.2rc1 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.2rc1 (1.2, release candidate 1) has been released. It includes major new features and is available for download from SourceForge. We believe the only bugs in this version are usability-related, so please report any problems to us.

8/14/02: srvx 1.1.3 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.1.3 has been released. It fixes a number of bugs relative to 1.1.2 and is available for download from SourceForge.

5/31/02: srvx 1.1.2 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.1.2 has been released. It fixes a number of bugs relative to 1.1.1 and is available for download from SourceForge.

5/06/02: srvx 1.1.1 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.1.1 has been released. It fixes some important bugs relative to 1.1.0 and is available for download from SourceForge. Update: Additional bugs have been found. We recommend tracking CVS release rel-1_1-branch in the services repository if you use any 1.1.x version of srvx.

5/04/02: srvx 1.1.0 released  (Entrope)
srvx 1.1.0 has been released, and includes a vast number of changes relative to the 1.0.x branch. It is available for download from SourceForge. This release includes a streamlined proxy checker, help queue bot (HelpServ), and a number of other improvements.

2/27/02: srvx 1.0.3 released  (Zoot)
srvx 1.0.3, the latest release on the 1.0.x branch, is available for download. Various new features, including required qualified addressing for secure commands, better alert checking, join flood logging, and maximum visitor counts have been added. In addition, there are a number of minor bug fixes.

1/27/02: srvx 2.0 branch opened  (Zoot)
srvx hackers rejoice, for the CVS repository where srvx 2.0 development will take place has been created. We will not abandon the 1.x codebase, but continue adding features and performing maintenance work; expect at least one more revision on the srvx 1.x branch. More details on srvx 2.0 will be available in the near future, but until then, just know this: we promise it will rock. Hard.

1/7/02: srvx 1.0.2 released  (Zoot)
The latest srvx release in the 1.0.x series, srvx 1.0.2, has been released; it features support for Undernet's dialect of the ircu P10 protocol, and some improvements to ban tracking.

11/28/01: srvx 1.0.1 released  (Zoot)
Fresh from the oven, srvx 1.0.1 has been released; two serious crash bugs have been fixed, and we also threw in some other minor fixes and changes. The download section has the links.

11/19/01: srvx 1.0.1 impending  (Zoot)
We're sorry our 1.0 release wasn't bug free, but despite extensive testing, a couple managed to slip through the cracks. We recommend all srvx users update to the latest version on the stable branch, currently only available through CVS.

We will be releasing a 1.0.1 version shortly, which also includes several new features in addition to bug fixes.

10/31/01: srvx-1.0 released  (Entrope)
After long development, we've released srvx 1.0. Except for the proxy checking, this is expected to be stable for production use. We plan to make further 1.0-series releases to fix issues currently known and any that we discover.

In the mean time, development on the next major release has been going on at a furious pace. It's looking more like a 2.0 release than 1.1, and will include more new and improved features than you can shake a stick at.
